"Governor Tom Wolf announced new funding for major renovations to the first floor of the Leland Center building in Baldwin Borough, Allegheny County, that will repurpose the center into a modern and innovative public library for the community.

“Public libraries are essential to quality of life and civic education in our communities and proud to work with Baldwin Borough and Senator Brewster to expand the offerings and size of this important part of their community,” Governor Wolf said. 

Baldwin Borough Public Library was approved for a $500,000 grant for the project, which includes a new parking area in front of the building with accessible spaces; renovation of the restrooms and all designed spaces to become ADA-compliant; significant expansion of connectivity and public access computers for patrons who are utilizing online resources to assist with job searches and career development; and construction of a 1,000-square-foot addition dedicated to youth services..."
