The Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics was recognized by Forbes as the #1 school in its second annual list of top two-year trade schools in the United States. According to Forbes, their ranking takes into account "academics, postgrad salary and debt loads" concluding that PIA is a "370-student gem" and  the "Harvard of trade schools." Forbes notes that PIA alumni "out-earn students from two thirds of Forbes’ highest-ranked four-year colleges at a fraction of the price."
