House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (LA-01), Congressman Keith Rothfus (PA-12) and State Senator Guy Reschenthaler (37th District) currently running for Congress (PA-14) visited the Energy Innovation Center on October 11, 2018. During their tour, Majority Whip Scalise, Congressman Rothfus and State Senator Reschenthaler were able to see many different technologies and organizations focused on clean energy and supporting sustainable energy markets.
The Energy Innovation Center is a not-for-profit organization with a mission to engage corporate and community leaders, align workforce development and education, develop and demonstrate technology, and incubate businesses, to support emerging clean and sustainable energy markets. Located just seconds from Downtown Pittsburgh, the Energy Innovation Center is a LEED Certified Building that was once an abandoned school. The 20,000 square foot building hosts an array of companies and educational institution all focused supporting clean energy.
